Dr. Hosai Todd Hesham is a board-certified otolaryngologist–head and neck surgeon whose work is defined by a steadfast commitment to patient-centered care. She places the well-being of her patients above all else, striving to deliver compassionate, thoughtful and individualized treatment to every person she serves.
Dr. Hesham earned her Bachelor of Arts from the College of the Holy Cross and received her Doctor of Medicine from Albany Medical College in 2004. She completed her residency in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery at Georgetown University Hospital in 2009.
Following residency, Dr. Hesham served the nation’s veterans as an attending physician at the Washington DC VA Medical Center for six years. There, she cared for a diverse population of veterans and developed a reputation for attentive, patient-first care while providing comprehensive medical and surgical treatment.
Since 2014, Dr. Hesham has been in private practice in Maryland, where she focuses on advanced and minimally invasive ENT treatments. Her clinical interests include office-based sinus surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, thyroid radiofrequency ablation, salivary gland surgery, skin cancer surgery and sleep surgery. She is particularly dedicated to expanding safe, effective in-office procedures that improve recovery and access to care while maintaining excellent outcomes.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Hesham is deeply involved in community service and advocacy. She serves on the boards of several charitable organizations that focus on immigrant and refugee health and on educational opportunities for immigrant girls. In 2022, she successfully authored and secured a multi-million-dollar grant from the Office of Refugee Resettlement to support mental health services for refugees from 2022–2025.
Dr. Hesham is also active in health policy and physician advocacy through the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, where she works to promote policies that support high-quality patient care and highlight the critical role of private practice in the American healthcare system.
Through her work as a surgeon, advocate and community leader, Dr. Hesham remains dedicated to improving the lives of her patients and strengthening the communities she serves.
